Verbos regulares e irregulares

 

A maioria dos verbos em inglês é regular. Estes verbos formam o simple past e o past participle com -ed.

Atenção, alguns verbos regulares sofrem modificações antes de acrescentar o s na 3ª pessoa do singular no present e antes do -ed no past e no past participle.

to cry - cries - cried

to supply - supplies - supplied

to beg -begs -begged

to travel - travels - travelled

to stop - stops - stopped

to prefer - prefers - preferred

Os verbos irregulares conjugam-se como os regulares mas formam o past e o past participle de maneira diferente.

A melhor maneira de os saber é memorizar as três leading forms ( infinitive, past e past participle).
